The New Denver Ad Club and Ad2 Denver Win AAF National Achievement Awards.
Denver, CO – June 16. The American Advertising Federation (AAF) celebrated the 2010 Club Achievement Award winners on June 12th in Orlando. The AAF Club Achievement Awards are national honors presented annually to ad clubs and federations who display exceptional accomplishments in advertising education, communications, diversity and multicultural initiatives, government relations, club operations, membership development, programs and public service.
The New Denver Ad Club, a Division II member of the AAF, won the First Place Club Achievement Award in the category of Programs.
Ad2, the under 32 members of the NDAC, and a Division V member of the AAF, won Third Place Club Achievement Awards in both the Membership Development and Communications categories. Lorelle Burke, NDAC President, and David Kennedy, Ad2 Board Member, accepted the Awards at the Salute to Achievers Luncheon at the AAF National Conference in Orlando on June 12th.

The New Denver Ad Club’s Program goals are to raise the visibility of the NDAC with a series of must-attend events, be a visible leader in the advertising and marketing arena and offer members blockbuster speaker presentations with provocative content that will help them stay up-to-date and develop their advertising and communications business. The NDAC also strives to be a resource for agencies to groom emerging talent for their advertising careers.
The NDAC’s Outside Voices series has brought “the top names in advertising right to your door,” with such advertising luminaries as Steve Hayden, Chairman, Ogilvy Worldwide/New York, Allen Rosenshine, Chairman Emeritus, BBDO Worldwide and Keith Reinhard, Chairman Emeritus, DDB Worldwide/New York, Gareth Kay, Director of Digital Strategy, Goodby, Silverstein & Partners/San Francisco, Steffan Postaer, Chairman and Creative Officer of Euro RSCG, Chicago, MT Carney, Founding Partner, Naked/New York, and Derek Robson, Managing Partner, Goodby Silverstein & Partners/San Francisco.
The NEXT program trains aspiring young advertising professionals with the best creative directors in town, the Silver Medal Award Luncheon honors lifetime achievement, the 3rd3rsday program offers interactive roundtables free, and at your desk. The Denver 50 Awards Show recognizes the 50 best advertising ideas in the Denver-Boulder area, as judged by top-notch creative directors in New York, San Francisco, Minneapolis, Chicago and other major cities.
Ad2 increased awareness of the club, membership and membership involvement through a variety of cutting-edge communications platforms, creative approaches to membership recruitment and networking, and use of social media, resulting in a 28% increase in paid memberships over last year.
